Transformers 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime

Nobody else has released this yet, at least Amazon.com/toysrus.com hasn't.

Or the other websites I went to.

It also shows it's price everywhere at 79.99.

Today at Wal-mart I was able to pick this bad ass toy up for 64 dollars.

Definately a bargain.

As soon as I picked up the box the thrill of my youth was back.

The box was heavy.

Heavy = Die Cast Fucking Metal.

Fucking old school, man.

The people behind this guy put in alot of love.

Even though I couldn't buy two this guy was too cool looking not to open.

Plus, I'll be fucking damed if I drop over 60 bucks on a toy at 27 years old and not transform that bad motherfucker at least once.

I pop ol Optimus out of the box. They really had him in there good with wire ties and plastic. Not to damage Prime, or the box I used a pair of wire clippers I use for modeling and snipping the ends off my joints so I can smoke em. Any who...

Optimus is well over a foot tall and is more articulated than Marvel Legands figures.

Up to the point where each of his fingers AND his thumb move independantly.

So if you fancy putting Prime on your shelf giving the stone cold double middle finger you can indulge yourself.

Plus, Prime could teach that slut Barbie a thing or two about the Kama Sutra.

I've got a full fucking hardon and I haven't even gotten the fuckin accesories out of the box yet.

Prime comes with his ever trusty blaster rifle, a little Megatron in gun mode.

Also the Autobot Matix of leadership which not only opens but you can pop it in his chest.

Now that I had gotten Prime and his booty of goodys out of the box for a bit it was time to move onto truck mode.

Now transformation was a little more complicated I would love to be able to post pictures.

But it wasn't too, too hard and thy really did do a beatifull job.

They did a grat job of hiding the front tires inside his chest even though it made transformation a tad more compicated than your generation 1 prime.

Which pritty much any young lad with some moxy in his head and a pocket full of common sense could transform with relative ease.

I reall wish I could post better up close and personal pics of Optimus for you guys who are into Transformers.

I looked around and have yet to find pictures that actully do him justice.

Some of the joints even have like pistons and things plastic not metal and only for detail but it does look cool.

This has to be one of the greatest god damn toys I have ever had.

I haven't been this excited since my Grandmother and Grandfather got me the original (actully Empire or ROTJ ) Kenner Millenium Falcon.

20th Anniversary Prime was at least for me worth the money.

You push a little button on the back of his head his mouthplate moves like he's talking.

Sweet!

And in the little chamber where you put the Matrix inside his chest is an LED you press a button and the Matrix lights up!

I also forgot it comes with the "Energon Axe" to put on when you retract a hand.

This is the shit childhood dreams are made of. When we were all kids, we'd all talk about how cool it would be if we had a toy that had that laundry list of features, and wish they'd been made that way from the get-go. I gotta find me one.

Y'know, I saw the re-releases of Skywarp, Thundercracker, and quite a few Autobots. I was planning on buying the jets and maybe Mirage (if I could find him) and recapturing my childhood. But this...this...wow.

I'm on this like white on rice. I'm on this like stank on yo mama. I'm on this...ga'DAMN I'm buyin' that badboy!!!

That is very cool. Its simplicity yet obvious complexity makes it qiute a tempting toy to steal.....I mean buy. But I don't think it will take the place of my very cool Optimal Optimus (Beast Wars).

I wish I could afford this. Damn. I can't believe you bought it Jaburg. Very cool.

Who would have thought Lou Reed could turn into a truck?
Posted By: Animalman Re: Greatest Transformer Ever! - 2004-02-20 7:01 PM
No, but he can transform into a meth-crazed amnesiac transvestite.

He looks like Frankenstein in that picture....

That is the mother fucking baddest most super-hardcore asskicker I have ever seen this side of goddamned oblivion.

There goes 70 bones...... FUCK! ! !

Bought this asshole at walmart today after seeing this post and i dont regret 1 fucking cent I spent on this prick. I fucking love im. I was a little smashed so I didnt even know how to transform him. But sober time soon became play time and by god if youre a child of the 80's and loved this shit you will not regret it either. I havent felt this nostalgic over my childhood in a looooong mother fucker.

My buddy got his yesterday, says he loves it. Coolest thing he owns. Me, just can't bring myself to do it...

Must...save...money...!

Must save money was my mantra for the week. Fucked all to hell when I saw it at Walmart today and didn't even think twice about picking it up.

Funny thing was, I also bought a PS2 game, and the guy had to walk it up to the cashier for me, but the Prime figure cost almost 3 times as much (greatest hits game). Insane.

I felt stupid, I couldn't figure out the damn feet transformation. I got it eventually.

I like how shit is meant to pop on and off rather than just pop, snap, and break.

Alot of thought went into thig ol guy.

It's quailty product and that is nice.

Is there going to be more 20th Anniversary Edition Transformers? ZOD be surprised if they made a Megatron, but would be satisfied if they made a Starscream instead.
Posted By: Ultimate Jaburg53 Re: Greatest Transformer Ever! - 2004-03-01 7:55 AM
I dunno.

They are re-releasing all the G1 Transformers now anyway. All made of plastic.

Starscream will be out again soon. There is already Sky Warp and Thundercracker.

They were all plastic if I remember correctly anyhow.

I doubt we will ever see an accurate Megatron again.

However if you look there was a Megatron staute just released that looks awesome....

Yeah it would be really hard to make a Megatron as hardcore as this Prime. The oldschool toy version didnt look nearly as cool as the 'toon version. He had that trigger dick that just looked ridiculous. Everything else i think could be done as ingeniusly as they did the 20th anniversary Prime.

My dream son of a bitch would be 6 badass die cast metal constructicons with the old school designs that formed to a 16 inch tall Devastator mother fucker that stood like a supreme asskicker a la Predaking. God knows what I would pay for that bad mother fucker.
