I started this thread just to say how much I am enjoing that story.

A big praise to the writers.

Wow, someone's reading it? Thanks, Eurostar. ;\)

If any of the mod's sees this, could you please attend to the request my friend made on the last post of the topic?

Hilarity ensues is even better.

This story was fucking awesome. The perfect blend of action, story, character development, humor, and out-and-out fun.

Thanks for the compliments! Our stories get buried so quickly it's hard to tell if anybody besides us is paying attention, so it's nice to hear some feedback.

A Larry with phasing powers... mhhh....
Posted By: Grimm Re: They Fight Crime talk thread - 2007-07-03 11:48 PM

still think they're noobs? ;\)
Posted By: Eurostar Re: They Fight Crime talk thread - 2007-07-04 8:29 AM
I never though that, actually.
Posted By: Grimm Re: They Fight Crime talk thread - 2007-07-04 12:13 PM

you know who they are, don't you?
Posted By: Eurostar Re: They Fight Crime talk thread - 2007-07-04 4:36 PM
No, I don't. I don't chat anymore with any of you guys, if not occasionally with TTT and Gooz which are the only ones I still find on AIM, I just read this forum... how I could?

Going by the style... I still I am lost, it's a lot different from anything written recently on the other threads... otr at least seems so to me...but whoever they are, if they work under an alias I am sure they have their own good reasons...
Posted By: Grimm Re: They Fight Crime talk thread - 2007-07-05 11:14 AM

well, I don't chat anymore either, but I have seen a certain former MBL/Vanguard poster who likes to write speedster characters online a few times over the last few months.

and a certain "new" poster writes a speedster character and has an avatar of a very popular speedster. . .so. . . ;\)

JJ, whoever you are, you made me crying.
Posted By: Jester Joker Re: They Fight Crime talk thread - 2007-09-04 3:22 AM
We were going to wait until the end of the current story to do this, but since we've taken longer than expected we'll up and do it now. Since it's obvious that we're not newbs, we'll give an award to whoever correctly guesses our identities. Just PM either me or M&CNICFYYY2K with your guesses. We'll announce the winner(s) here.

A separate award to whoever catches the most "insider" references made in the stories thus far. This could include characters, settings or anything else that gives away we're "old-school" posters.
Posted By: Eurostar Re: They Fight Crime talk thread - 2007-09-04 3:46 PM
I am the one who though Sir Justin was Kristogar Velo and Brute Force really the Indestructible-Man. So, I don't want to even try.

But surely whoever you are, you are writing better than ever. No one, In Tomb, MBL or Vanguard, was writing so finely.
Posted By: Eurostar Re: They Fight Crime talk thread - 2007-09-17 12:46 PM
As for the second award, aside the obvious references to TC and Larry Lance and the story of HR #3 when the Revolutionaries took down Tri-Vex, so far I didn't spot any other for sure, but I have to read more carefully and not just for the shere entertainment.

The name Richard Stephens has a resonance to Ritchie Steven (Gooz) but i guess that's just a coincidence, as a Vanguard Universe Gooz appeared just in the old MBL/Vanguard crossover I wrote once.

Don't know if anybody out there still cares but apologies for the increasingly longer gaps between updates. We're hoping to correct that soon.

Also, for anyone who still wants to guess our IDs, nobody's been close so far so here's a clue: Grimm has no idea what he's talking about.

Quiero ver, quiero entrar
nena nadie te va a hacer mal,
excepto amarte.

nena nunca te voy a dar
lo que me pides.

Te doy Dios, quieres más
es que nunca comprenderás
a un pobre pibe.

Esas motos que van a mil
sólo el viento te harán sentir
nada más, nada más.

Si pudieras olvidar tu mente
frente a mi, sé que tu corazón
diría que sí.

Cuando viniste a mi
cerré la puerta pero abrí.
Asesiname, asesíname.

Por darte lo que di,
me transforme en un souvenir
asesiname , asesiname.

Es solo rock and roll,
pero ya es mucho para vos
Asesíname, asesíname.

Yo me quiero morir
no aguanto mas estar aqui
Asesíname, asesíname, asesíname, asesíname.

One, two , three, four, five, six, seven
all good children go to heaven
One, two , three, four, five, six, seven

yo nunca fui a new york

no digas nada detente aqui
porque yo estoy donde nunca voy
donde nunca fui

tomalo con calma
la cosa es asi
ya se hace de noche
me tengo que ir

y te digo baby
chipi chipi chipi chipi
bombon bombon .. bombon bombon
chipi-chipi

si este dolor durara por siempre
es que el mercurio lo tengo aqui
ya no digas mas palabras nene
ya vete de aqui

y no te olvides nunca que...
primero haber...
chipi chipi..
(gran idea podemos ir a la escuela)

esta cancion durara por siempre
por eso mismo yo la hice asi
una cancion, sin amor, sin dolor
la cancion sin fin...
again ...
esta cancion durara por simpre
como los discos
uuuuhhh la cancion sin fin.

Cuando comenzamos a nacer ,
la mente empieza a comprender,
que vos sos vos y tenes vida.

Que poca cosa es la realidad,
mejor seguir mejor soñar,
que lo que vale no es el dia;
Pero el sol esta,
no es de papel es de verdad.

Tenes una boca para hablar,
y comenzas a preguntar,

y juntos ver el amanecer;
Poco a poco vos te conformas
si no es amor es tuya igual
y vos le das lo que te pida.

Pero si te ofrecen el final
diras igual me he de quedar

demoliendo hoteles
mientras los plomos juntan los cables
cazan rehenes.
Hoy pasó el tiempo,
demoliendo hoteles
mientras los chicos allá en la esquina
pegan carteles.

Cuando estés mal, cuando estés solo
Cuando ya estés cansado de llorar
No te olvides de mí
porque sé que te puede estimular

Cuando me mires a los ojos
y mi mirada esté en otro lugar
no te acerques a mi

Nunca me aliviana decirte nada,
Me dió miedo mostrar tu amor,

No voy a esperar y no voy a poder
y no voy a ganar y no voy a perder

Tu vicio.

Yo soy un vicio más,
en tu mente soy un vicio más,
no me podes dejar,
porque soy tan sólo un vicio,
tu vicio.

contale a tu mamá,
ella también tiene el vicio,
tu vicio

Y cuando estés masturbando a la nena
en una playa en Pinamar,
¿quién te hará el aguante?
¿quién te dará antes,
todas esas cosas que no puedes comprar?

Yo soy un vicio más,
todo el tiempo soy un vicio más,
y en esta sociedad,
todo el mundo tiene un vicio,
tu vicio.

Yo soy un vicio más,
en tu vida soy un vicio más,
¿por qué no me dejás
si es que sólo soy un vicio?
Tu vicio

Tu vicio (x3)

Soy un vicio más...
vicio más...
vicio...
tu vicio... (se repite hasta terminar)

I have to wonder if this wave's too big to ride
Commit or not commit in such a crazy tide
It's sooner than I thought but you called me out
I've lost control and there's no doubt
I'm gonna start all over

Out of the fire and into the fire again
You make me want to forget
And start all over
Here I come straight out of my mind or worse
Another chance to get burned
And start all over
I'm gonna start all over

Fantastic and romantic all a big surprise
You've got the warning hesitation pushed aside
It's sooner than i want but you caught my heart
I guess I'm ready now to start
I'm gonna start all over

[CHORUS]

It's so easy
You disrupt me
Can't complain

It's so easy
I'm gonna start all over

[CHORUS x2]

So if anyone still cares issue 2 is done. All that's left to do is post the last few parts and the fucker's finished eighteen months after it was started. Any future stories will likely end up as BLAMguard exclusives.

EDIT: Also if anybody still cares. I don't remember all the references we made in the story but offhand what I do remember: Steven Richards was created by Disco Steve and quickly forgotten. Christopher Trinity was created by Gold Baron and also forgotten. Strikeforce should be obvious, ditto Thunder City, Larry Lance and Tobias Christopher, etc. Martin was "like a powder keg" and that was so esoteric that probably nobody gets it anymore. Barry and Guy? Hmm, do they seem familiar? I'm sure there were other references but wgas.
