Stan Lee to Make Ringo Starr into a True Superhero

NEW YORK, NY, (NAMC) Jan 28, 2005,—Up Up and Away, it looks like former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr will dance to the beat of a different drum and finally live out his fantasy, an animated one anyway.

According to reports Ringo Starr will be immortalized in an animated series that will be created by king of superhero creations Stan Lee and his Pow Entertainment Company.

For the purpose of the cartoon, he will put down his drum sticks and become “Super Ringo” or something along those lines. A reluctant superhero that will battle evildoers and go on to save the world.
Now will this be a hit cartoon series?

To answer that question you need to look at the creator of the series, Stan Lee. He is known to millions as the man whose superhero creations launched Marvel Comics to a superpower in the comic book industry, some of his singular co-creations include Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Daredevil, Silver Surfer and Dr. Strange. Most of which have made it to the big screen, so Beatles fans don’t be shocked if that is part of the big picture.

The “Super Ringo” cartoon series will be produced and distributed by IDT Entertainment and is expected to be released sometime in 2006.
