On tonights’ WWE Year’s Revolution, HHH suffered another quadriceps tear, this is five years after his last one. The severity isn’t known at this time, he was scheduled for a MRI in Kansas City and then fly to Birmingham, Alabama to be examined by Dr, James Andrews tomorrow.

HHH suffered the injury performing a spinebuster on Randy Orton, during the move he came down knee first, and apparently tore it then.

I've always said the the H's was always good about his work schedule and wrestling injured. There's no doubt about that. This and previous matches proves that. The main problem people have with him is his locker room practices and politicking to maintain his 'Golden Boy' appearance as well as his unwillingness to sell all but a select few in the ring.

Triple H tears quadriceps tendon
Written: January 8, 2007

Following an MRI with Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala. on Monday, Triple H was diagnosed with a ruptured quadriceps tendon.

Officially, The Game suffered a tear of one of the four tendons in his right quadriceps. The injury occurred during DX's match with Rated-RKO at New Year's Revolution. Surgery will be performed on Tuesday in Alabama, and WWE doctor Ferdinand Rios estimates that The Game will need four to six months to rehabilitate the injury.

While he was in a tremendous amount of pain prior to the MRI, Triple H was said to be in great spirits.

Stay tuned to WWE.com for further updates.

It looks like he'll not be at Wrestlemania this year.

Meh. His Wrestlemania track record is spotty at best. Yes the triple with Benoit and HBK was good, as was his match with 'Taker, but he's also had some performances that have been less than stellar.

Thats not the point.
The point is that he is a draw, as is DX, and WM is a wrestlers biggest paydate of the year.

Its painful for WWE to lose him at this time!

What's painful is that McMahon's forced himself into a position where losing HHH is a devastating as it is. When Austin wound up on the shelf, he had the Rock, 'Taker, Foley, HHH and a few others to fall back on. Now, he and Steph have booked the company into a position where there're stars, but precious few "big" stars on HHH's level.

How is that Vinces fault?
Was he responsible of The Rock leaving?
For Austin being too injured to wrestle?

Vince has pushed people, and thats why we have people like Cena and Batista, but what hurts WWE is that HHH is one of the few "Old school" big names left, and is still a draw.
Vince doesnt make HHH a draw, the fans do!

The fans are the ones who clammered for a DX reunion, which has been one of the most popular angles in recent years.

And anyway, if you think that it didnt hurt WWE to not have Austin when he was injured, despite the other big names being present, then you are seriously deluding yourself.
With the big names, storylines & plans are put in place well in advance, and quite often as not, a big WM climax is planned.
If one of the main protagonists is then taken out of the picture, they have to rush a new angle or push a lesser angle to the frontline!
This in no way helps them, and you cannot blame Vince or WWE for putting the bulk of their effort into what they believe is their biggest storyline!

Could Vince have pushed Benoit?
Not really, as he was out sick for ages.

Could he have pushed Christian, Angle or Jericho better?
Possibly, but that still would not have guaranteed they woulda stayed.

Could he have continued to push RVD?
Yes, but RVD has himself to blame for his depush!

Whether you like them or not, WWE has pushed a whole whost of people in the last year or two.
Cena, Batista, Orton, Booker, Edge, Orton, Lashley etc etc etc

None of this stops the fact that losing HHH is a big deal, just as losing Austin was!

But some of the people you cite as being pushed either don't have the credibility to be big stars and draws (Lashley) or have lost credibility in the eyes of the fans for a variety of reasons (Booker by having been pushed as being weak in the past, Batista and Orton for their injury proneness, and Cena, who they really should've turned heel a year ago when he was getting booed out of buildings). They only guy you mentioned who has a fair degree of credibility despite himself is Edge, who, for all his faults as a human being, is for my money one of the best workers on the roster. Vince had the opportunity to make a big star out of Christian (remember when the MSG audience nearly gave him a standing ovation, despite the fact that he was a heel?) but he blew it. Kurt Angle was another blown opportunity, as the fans love Kurt, but Vince seemed to underestimate his drawing power.

Bottom line- it's Vince's company; the fault ultimately lies with him. He pushes whoever he or Stephanie likes, to hell with the fans, and relies to much on writers who've never been involved in the business until he hired them.

Once again you seem to be basing everything on how you view things, not the majority of fans.

You say Lashley has no credibilty.
I say bullshit, despite the fact I hate him!

You say Booker has lost credibilty.
Once again, I say bullshit as I dont know anyone who says he wasnt a credible champion!

As for Batista, I really do not know what shows you have been watching, but the fans are behind him 100%.
Plus your assumption that he and Orton lose credibility because of injury is a joke considering you then say that Angle was a blown opportunity, when his injury record was far higher!

I do not see how you say Angle was a blown opportunity anyway, seeing as he was always somewhere there abouts as one of the top men in the company.
I cant think of how many times he headlined a show or PPV, or how many championships he held etc.
Simple fact with him was he was injured, severely, for some time & had become a liability.
Vince allowed him to leave to recuperate & he decided to jump to TNA straight away.
While this is great for TNA & the fans, if it ends up with Kurt doing himself a serious injury, then who has really benefitted?

I'll be the first to admit that WWE hasnt always pushed the right people, but they at least always push somebody, and most of the time those wrestlers become huge stars because the marks support whoever WWE tells them to support!

But Angle was a blown opportunity. Durin Invasion, because of 9-11, WWE rightfully felt they had to give their American hero a major push, and they did when he defeated Booker T for the WCW title. But shortly thereafter TPTB decided to return him to his lapdog-heel-cry-like-a-baby role, and he never recovered. When he won the WCW title, he showed the potential to be the next American hero, following in Hogan's foot steps. He could have carried the company as a face, instead of becoming a stepping stone for Edge (before he got hurt, when he was paired with Hogan), and others like him.

I wouldn't say a blown opportunity!

You're right, Kury was wasted for the longest time but as soon as the sorry invasion story was thru, Kurt finally reached the top where he belonged!

I would cite my biggest frustration of Oakleys favourite wasteage being the abrupt ending of the excellent hhh/titsMC/Angle storyline!

Can someone refresh my memory, has Angle ever beaten HHH convincingly in a match?

I didn't say as champion he lost credibility (though having Sharmell or... god... K-fed help him to victory certainly doesn't make him look like a strong champ in my opinion); I'm talking about his first year in WWE where almost right from the gate they made look like a putz, despite him being the WCW World Champ at the time. Nothing like having the Rock say "Who the Hell are you?" to kill any momentum he may've had.

I think he's a douchebag, but when have I ever questioned his work rate? I will admit to thinking that the first couple months back from his neck injury he may've lost a step or two, but since then he's gotten back up to a great level. My main beef with Edge is that he appears to be a lousy human being; cheating on your wife with your best friend's girlfriend is wrong, end of discussion.

So why mention him if you think he has credibility now?
The point of this conversation is WWE at the moment, not WWE in 2001.
I'm sure we can pull a load of names out of our arses who were shit on early in their WWE careers only to get a push later!

I mean, Eddie was treated so well early on wasnt he.
Did that make him any less credible?

Funny, cause from my memory the first impact he made was attacking Stone Cold.
And The Rock didnt come in til quite a way through the Invasion storyline as he was supposedly suspended!

Oh, and you have changed you tune about Edge.
Only a month or so ago you was saying he was shit!

Oh how about a few months back when both myself & bsams had to call you on it.
How you said he wasnt deserving of his position!

Because of his douchebag antics. Rhino got fired for breaking something off-camera, Matt Hardy got fired because he voiced his complaints about how two people close to him betrayed him, and Edge gets a World Title? Fuck him.
