should super heroes in "team up" books fight? or should they realize they're both super heroes and play nicey nice, only worrying about the bad guy.

does it matter who is pairing up?

superman and spider-man?
superman and batman?
batman and spider-man?
batman and wolverine?
superman and wolverine?
etc

I don't think everytime two superheroes meet there should be some sort of macho pissing contest just to please the fanboys, but if there is a justifiable story that involves them beating the snot out of each other, I'm all for it! (Especially if it will make those Marvel fans really pissed off! Do you know, on the Marvel board, they actually believe Wolverine could beat the Flash!)

1) realistically, there's only a handful o' people who could defeat the flash. wolverine is not one of them

2) i think i agree with you -- that heroes shouldnt fight if the pairing doesnt call for it (i.e; spider-man and superman aren't really the type to be grumpy enough to fight others, just cuz they're wearing costumes... however, batman and wolverine'd just love the excuse to kick the bug-geezus outta one another). however, the "fanboy" in me (who i've let call home twice now) i think always wants to see the clash and settle "who is better" --... as long as my picks win

Batman('s tactics) managed to beat the entire JlA so I suppose he's a no go as far as Vs. battles are concerned. In fact let's rule Bats, Supes, Spidey and Hulk out for this post and go for the stuff we reeally wanna see.like um...
