we've had this issue over here. About a decade ago some fuckwit did a report, that at the time was criticised by almost the entire medical community, suggesting a link. One big campaign in the papers, particularly the Daily Mail (a very right wing paper, so it's not really a hippy issue!) and the innoculation rates nose dived and now we have a potential epidemic.
the docotr who wrote the report has, in the mean time, been struck off for being full of shit and generally shonky!
