Beyond the fact that the critic seems to think that Will Smith isn't allowed to do a dramatic film, he seems to believe that the performances and plot aren't convincing.
He may be right, but the fact he seems almost "insulted" that Smith decided not to make a comedy tends to diminish his credibility.
