though it wouldn't surprise me if he did die; there are prophetic like messages through out the first two films to indicate he might. i also think, with nolan's awesomeness, death could be the most fitting finale. certainly unique to have the hero transition in such a fashion. tho, like with millers DKR, "death" has variables.

either way, with nolan and bale (and likely others) gone after this film, continuing and remaking wouldnt be all that dissimilar
