So girl atom was a spy in the JLA all along. I'm not sure why they needed a spy if they were just going to stomp in and take over *spoilers....I guess?* She took out Superman and launched the search for Pandora's box...which lead 'Alfred' to finding it and opening the portal to Earth 3. She was full key to this little chain of events. :D

Which made the search for Pandora's box a confusing development on her part, being all heterosexual and all. She dove in like a pro though, so props to her.

Klinton, what happened on the Trinity War? I stopped reading when Superman decapitated Dr. Light. Really? The rapist goatee version, or the cranky Japanese girl version?

He was possessed or something. I happened to pick up that issue to see if I should give JL another chance but then I saw that and went "nope, nothing for me here".

It was, again, Atom and her shenanigans. She had *spoiler* crammed a sliver of Kryptonite into his brain */spoiler*.

That would make more sense if she had crammed a Kryptonite stone into his kidney.

I don't think she's strong enough to penetrate his skin. Thus, the route they went.
It's a bit of a thing now, the inserting of Kryptonite right into his brain. Morrison had a similar thing going on in his Action Comics run.

On the subject of "evil", I was a bit creeped out when I looked at the COMIC BOOKS section of RKMB on Friday the 13th two days ago, and there were a total of 6666 topics.
It reminds me how the news media on the 13th had a lot of fun discussing a Flight 666 "to Hel" (Helsinki) on Friday the 13th, that several superstitious people wouldn't board.

I bet they got that new Atom girl to go in and take the kryptonite out of his brain.

Looks lke it's a bad day to be Nightwing. I wonder if this is the story where they kill him off. I know there has been talk about killing the character before.

I thought the first issue was rubbish I'd read the same story 5 times already....or seen it in cartoon form.

I thought the first issue was rubbish I'd read the same story 5 times already....or seen it in cartoon form. Of course you have. There are seldom 'new' stories in super hero comics. I've enjoyed the hell out of Trinity War and Forever Evil so far. I'm reading the last few of the villain issues right now, and they've more or less been entirely enjoyable. Dial E, Creeper and Grodd were the only ones I've not enjoyed so far. I'm stoked for Forever Evil #2 this week! This summer full shifted my attention back on the DCU. I'd merely been logging time for a while now, with no real investment in the stories. It's a welcome change. :D

Marvel is getting worse they were pretty top notch for about a year....then the multiverse happened...
The only DC books I read are batman, batman/robin and wonder woman. Been enjoying the image books a lot lately--imagine that.

I can't stand Wonder Woman these days. It's so far from what I expect of her as to be another character entirely in a vaguely similar costume.
I'd ordinarily find the idea of Superman and Wonder Woman dating, but it's allowed the opportunity to see a more interesting Diana in other books, so I'm all for it. Hahaha.
My favorite book at DC right now is Vibe. Out of nowhere they cobbled together a fantastic book...that no one is reading. I wish they'd delivered this same story without naming him 'Vibe', as the links the the 80's abomination have kept readers away, I think.
I read a few Image titles. I'm bored shitless with Morning Glories now. Sidekick and Sheltered are both amazing reads!
IDW and BOOM have been cranking out amazing titles lately. Superbia, Next Testament, the GI Joe stuff. I read more Boom titles than Image, I think.

Issue two of Forever Evil was good.
I have been reading Judge Dredd from IDW and like that they have no ads until the end of the issue.
I liked the first issue of Sidekick. I'll check out an issue or two of Sheltered.

Aye, I love the IDW format. I've been following GI Joe there since they took the license. If you've not read their original run of 'Cobra' (featuring Chuckles and Jinx!), do so. Now. It's one of the finest comics runs I've ever read. 'Hearts and Minds' was really good too.
I've not tried Judge Dredd, but I've never been a fan. I'm keen on finding some of Al Ewing's work with the character though. His stuff at Marvel this year has floored me. Pure, raw comics with franchise characters. He did more with the Black Widow in one off issue of Avengers Assemble than anyone else managed all year.
But YES, Sidekick! I love that book! Zero is another great Image title right now. The first two issues have been brilliant.
And, yeah, DC is doing everything right these days. Forever Evil has been pure fun, with Arkham War and Rogue's Rebellion both being fun reads.
Superman/Wonder Woman #1 actually blew me out of the water. I was expecting utter shit, given what they've been putting out for both characters for the past two years. Out of nowhere THIS was the Wonder Woman comic I've been waiting to read! YMMV, obviously, but I was completely chuffed with this issue. It's the first book in a long while that I read again as soon as I'd finished reading it. Pure fun, cover to cover.

Yeah,The Supes/Wondie book was good! I hope they can keep it up.
I wouldn't mind more team up books. Maybe a Flash/Green Lantern or Batman/Green Arrow book.

I think Flash and Green Lantern have girlfriends but Batman/Green Arrow could work.
