He plays the character like Bond knows that he's in a campy spy movie.
That's exactly why he's my least favorite. I like Bond to be played in a more serious tone. That's why Im partial to Timothy Dalton who took it from Moore and made Bond less campy. That...and he was the first one I saw when I was a kid.
