Is lame.
Long go nowhere conversations.
Dumb characters.
Bad artwork.

I'll follow it for awhile because I want a legion series. Maybe it'll get better

Dave! You're alive and probably not in prison! How have you been?

Nice to see a Dave sighting. As for the Legion, I'm hopeful but the millennium issue isn't that good imho. I do like that it looks like it's the classic members from the Adventure era. Not so crazy for another Doctor Fate and Lantern though.

Well, the covers look nice. And at a 2-issue story, it's not a huge investment of time or money.
But honestly, I lost interest when I saw the name Brian Michael Bendis.

I'm not anti or pro Bendis but the first issue of Millennium was underwhelming. I like a lot of the new designs though and I think the Legion is the one title I would buy no matter what. Or maybe not. I stopped buying comics years ago so it's not a habit anymore. We'll see

Lothah - won't go to prison until they catch me. And I'm quick on my feet.

Bendis in interviews says that they decided to trawl through immortals in order to use them as a way of exploring the 31st century. They came up with... Rose and Thorn:

Yep, that's about as obscure as you can get. She didn't know she was immortal. That's ok, no one else did either.

I would have liked to have seen someone like a Dr Fate or GL, or a Spectre, Wonder Woman, Metamorpho, or even a "one life left" Wildcat. Plenty of immortals or generational characters about in the DCU. Using Rose was just odd.

And there is only one Legion character in the entire issue, and that's Supergirl. Who looks pretty good for being 1000 years old, frankly.

I thought I saw a Bendis comment about that scene with Supergirl being about 80 years in the future. But being that old doesn't seem to jibe with the following Batman beyond segment. From my admittedly limited knowledge of dc history these days unless they're not being presented in a linear fashion Batman Beyond wasn't that far in the future. I have low expectations for the 2nd part other than hoping we get to see some Legion.

I don’t read the comics anymore, but BB always seemed to be set, at most, 50 years in the future, ie, a Bruce Wayne in his late 70s to mid 80s at the oldest.
