I've seen one (1) episode and one (1) movie, and I loved them both, but is the series this hilarious in its entirety, or should I buy an specific season?

Yep, Monty Python is the way to go.
The entire series is worth it. The Holy Grail and Life of Brian are worth it. I was never keen on The Meaning of Life. But, some like it.
Also, look into The Young Ones, and/or, Black Adder. Hilarious...

The Meaning of Life is actually the only Python movie I've seen, so if you say Holy Grail and Life of Brian are better they must be really something.

The Young Ones defines the ultimate college show. It's fucking brilliant, as BSAMS said. Highly recommended.
Black Adder is a special kind of wit. It's Rowan Atkinson at his best. Each season takes place in a completely different setting, with completely different characters, but, the same actors basically playing their own descendants. Not quite as peculiar and silly as Python, and not quite as much 'toilet humor' as Young Ones, but, still worth looking at, even if only to rent...

You should definitely buy that stuff.
Of course, I fancy the movies more but you can't go wrong with Flying Circus. Holy Grail is sheer comedic genius and I've NEVER met anyone who didn't like Life of Brian.

Young Ones...absolutely great stuff. I used to watch episodes when they aired late at night on MTV. When the complete series became available on DVD, I scooped those bastards right up! Definitely should be part of any respectable DVD collection.
