I finally saw Brokeback Mountain. It was a good movie, but I didn't hear Willie Nelson singing. Perhaps that was in the credits that I didn't stay for.

Brokeback Abused Sheep: The makers of the gay cowboy flick "Brokeback Mountain" were too rough on sheep, an animal-rights group charged yesterday.
In a letter to director Ang Lee, The Humane Society also complained about the way the horses and elk were treated.
"The excessively rough handling of the sheep and horses leaves viewers questioning whether anyone was looking out for the safety of those animals," the letter said.
"And many also wonder how the filmmakers got the elk to lose its footing and crumple to the ground 'on cue' after being shot."
A spokesman for the producer of the Best Picture-nominated movie, Focus Features, had no immediate comment.

And at least this year, that acting out doomed "Brokeback Mountain." Maybe America isn't ready for Tom Hanks as a soldier. After all, the much-ballyhooed (what the fuck does that mean?) Saving Private Ryan had its best picture nomination stolen by Shakespear in Love. Upsets happen in the Oscars and the fact that they do doesn't mean that all the liberals in Hollywood have suddenly abandoned the homosexuals.

It seemed to me that the only people that were "sure" Brokeback was going to win was mostly from a certain segment of conservatives (the Ann Coulter types) I was happy with it winning best director (& music) Furthermore, after all the jokes have been told & retold, there will be the DVD release & eventually it will air on TV. You can't unmake Brokeback Mountain
