i mean, honestly, lets take a look here. for 7+ years, i've banned the people you so adamantly believe to have "attacked" the dcmbs. but now this is suspect? one of the tennants for creating this board was setting it up as a "gulag," of sorts, to make my job a lil easier (it just so happens that i have shit loads more fun here) so, yes, you'll find many of those same posters here.

i created this forum many years ago and its always had posters invite users from other boards. other boards do the same, inviting posters from here to there. thats not some secret militia, thats the internet. check out millar world or the quesada boards or wizard world, you'll find its all the same. i apologize if you are still convinced there is secret workings here.
i've also always felt these boards to offer much more than the dc boards, and thats not something i've ever hid. from the aol days ot the infopop days to the wb days, the dc boards have always been lackluster in their offerings and moderation systems. a lot of that was due to the corporate appeal, or the high traffic, or any number of other reasons.
however, here, there's so much more freedom and creativity and ability.
shocking, i know.
but when you first registered here, nearly three years ago, you were "lured" by the very same "funny smell" you're now so ashamed of.
sadly, you've forgotten that, in favor of some obsessed suspicion. and, really, thats too bad. you could be having fun here and fun on the dcmbs, instead of contemplating my malevolence.

I posted at 5 different boards at the time and knew yours before I posted here the first time. My account was suspended for a wekk so I realy didnt have to start posting in a Ghulag for a coulpe of days. I came here cause the place seemed fun and at least to me wasnt.
Thats not a crime and its nothing to be sad about. There are many ülaces sI dont fit in and you cam blame that on my special charistma.

That doesnt change the fact that a group of people fromt his board here spent days at fucking up the DC MB and they havent atually been making much of a secret about it. I dont think it is cosher to try to drag people over here in that light. People that very much enjoyed the DC MB right until they where attacked from this place here.
If you dont care fine. I however am pissed about it. Takes away a lot of credibility from you.
If indeed you are so very unhappy woth the DCMB you may just go ahead and find a different place. Mods that only make half asses atemps at keeping the place alive serve no purpose.

Or the fact that the people who attacked the DC MB kept bringing up age old jokes from the qwerty days on the A.L.D.S. sorry Lobo board.

They where posting offensive religious posts and toppics and (I aint sure if that was coincidently or them aswell) there where several new ID`s like johnbyrne where they posed as creators when in fact they where not.
That went on for days. How on earth would you suggest to deal with that?

the most important thing about a message board is discussion, NOT moderation. shutting down and/or limiting discussion kills the board, NOT spam. spam or attacks or whatever can be deleted -- even if it means staying up a little later or working a little more on a saturday. its not something a mod hates, because thats a mod's job.
spam is nothing new. it also can't ever be 100% prevented. you just work through it, and hope that "regular" posters are tollerant in their complaints about you, as the mod.
i'm very against the notion of sacreficing the boards because a few people made annoying comments. its just killing the joy of the forum, and pissing off people who never did anything wrong.
and, really, i can't see how anyone would be in favor of that method.

While the Dc boards where atacked I had several dejavus and just came here to see whats going on and maybe get some clarity on the current DC MB status and wanted to know if my suspicions where right or wrong. The first thng I read is the last thing I read on the DC Mb. Someone calling me "frogman" (I still get the joke) and thinking thats funny. Seing how I have gone by Fragman for some 6 years now having been called frogman by 1 person in all that time (I guess most people just arent lame enuogh to "flame" on that level) before I came here where I met person number 2 doing the very same....see doesnt REALY take a detective to get 2 out of 1+1.
