I have yet to enjoy a John Woo movie made in America.

Surprisingly my favorite American made John Woo film so far was MI:2, and I'm not a big fan of Tom Cruise.

However I have to say I have liked alot of his recent to semi recent movies, like Vanilla Sky, Minority Report, Collateral.
