I know there's another thread somewhere about this. But, since I couldn't get the Search Function to work properly for me, and since my computer is running a bit slow lately (need new computer), I decided to go ahead and make a new thread. Kamphausened! Yeah, shit happens.
Anyway, this was available on my cable's "On Demand" subscription. So, with the wife out of town, and just kicking back enjoying a little guy time, I decide what the hell. It's animated. It couldn't be that bad.
It was worse.
Poor animation, flat voice acting, hollow plot, horrible pacing, exposition, dialogue....there just wasn't any real redeeming quality to this waste of my time. I mean, with the actual animated stuff (the Diniverse), there was a level of feeling and depth you could totally key into. It was never going to be 'high art', nor was it ever going to match the heights of our own 'fill-in-the-motion-and-voices' imagination from the comic source material. But, having spent the last ten years perfecting how to make the DCU such a successful animated universe, I was baffled that they suddenly seemed to all have gained Alzheimer's. Or, a lobotomy. Or were really, really high.
This was just
bad. It was
Ann Heche as
Lois Lane, for fuck's sake!
If this is the future of DC's Direct to DVD movies, then I'm incredibly disappointed. This was crap.
I give this "movie" a 2-out-10. The fights save it from being a 1/10...
