I love Tom Petty, particularly the early stuff:

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Refugee
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFnOfpIJL0M

When I attended University of Florida in 1981, many of the older guys at the frat houses told me Petty was still playing at parties there just 2 years before I arrived on campus.

Bought 6 KISS CDs the other day. All 70's original lineup. Debut album,Hotter Than Hell,Dressed To kill,Rock 'n Roll Over,Destroyer & Dynasty. Listened to the first 3 so far and while I know all the "Greatest Hits" songs and enjoy them,I'm actually digging all the songs so far. Better than I thought they'd be.

I used to play Kiss's 1979 DYNASY album a lot back in the day, and still play it occasionally. for me it's a great album all the way through, not just a few hits. It also brings back memories of a very good period for me.

MOLLY HATCHET - Dreams I'll Never See / Flirtin' With Disaster (1983, live on stage)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxBzUZ1q7Vw

I still prefer the original version.

Dreams I'll Never See (album version)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTZHHQplIX8

But it's nice seeing Molly Hatchet perform on stage (circa 1983).

Heh.

I figured you'd be listening to Gary Johnson's Greatest Hits.

This is what first brought Neil Cicierega to my attention. This seems silly, but the man made a semi-coherent song out of another damn song. I could try to break down some of his mashups and explain the no-shit compositional practices behind them, but it's way more fun to just let you listen.

Neil who? Maybe that was a northern show.

Ray Parker, Jr ("Ghostbusters"), meet Huey Lewis ("I want a New Drug").

I recall Huey Lewis sued Ray Parker over the similarity, I don't recall the outcome.
Similar, yes. But both great songs.

Warren Zevon Werewolves of London
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufWX9KwscIA

Do you still see videos you can click on that you're posting them the way you are, G-man? Because all I see now is a box that doesn't do anything.
Are Youtube videos disabled on RKMB?
Or are they just disabled for me. For about 2 months, I haven't been able to click on the Youtube videos and see them on Youtube.

That's why I've been posting them this way, so you can still click the link and see them on Youtube.
