I'd have to disagree.

The middle half-hour. 45 minutes were pretty action-packed, fun and breathless.

It's just the other hour and a half that was total shit.

It was better than reloaded, the attack of the robo-jism was okay.

The script was awful. So many cliches that James Cameron would have been embarrased.

They should have never made it into a trilogy.

"The Matrix" was fine by itself in the sense that even though it was open-ended and open to interpretations, it was still fun talking about the possibilities introduced into the story; like, I remember people back then thinking that maybe Neo is now godlike in the matrix, or some people think that the whole movie is just a fable of sorts or maybe a social statement and such(I seriously think that Neo is a liberal, and therefore evil. ALSO, he sucks cocks.)

But then the reloaded and revolutions happened, which sort of boxed the whole thing. It managed to complicate and limit the mythos at the same time. All it offered was more "cool" fight scenes and, like what Steve T said, oodles and oodles of cliches. and then they also had a sex scene between Carrie Ann Moss and Keannue Reaves where so much bad camera angles and shadows meant that the only piece of skin we'd ever see is on Keannu Reaves's Ass. damn them to hell.

And here's the worst part: Now there are legions upon legions of geeks who think that they're so clever because they can wax philosopical about the Matrix. Like, "Ooooh! I'm so clever because I noticed that Neo is an anagram for One and that Neo parallels Jesus Christ's life" and I'm like, "Fuck you. There's nothing clever about that. The themes in the Matrix are so blatantly obvious that a moron like you can drone about them for hours." AND HAVE I MENTIONED THAT THEY DIDN'T SHOW CARRIE ANN MOSS'S TITS?

Lol... I think people's expectations were really way too high for these movies. I mean, I'm a fan of sci-fi, kung fu and anime. Seems like that should be the only requisites to enjoy the experience. The entire trilogy was just like a live-action anime. And I'm completely down with that. I liked the music, special effects and eye-candy fight scenes. The metaphysicality of the movies just didnt bother me. I've been watching that weirdness for years in animes, a more obvious source of influence.

I'm not one of those Matrix jerks that think its the new Star Wars and try to use Neo as their dumb fucking internet handles every chance they get. But I'm also not one of those sci-fi snobs that can be equally as silly.

I enjoy them and I'm glad that I do. People forget how to have fun at the movies.

The movie is a fucking waste of time. It's fucking predictable, fucking repetitive and fucking lame. What did we learn in this movie? That Neo REALLY is the One, that Trinity REALLY loves him, and Morpheus REALLY believes in him. I could have told you that at the ending of the first movie. Besides that, the whole tension was suppoused to come from whether Scion was gonna be saved or not. However, I don't give a shit about Scion. Matrix Reloaded was suppoused to make me care about Scion (like Matrix made me care about Neo, Trinity and Morpheus), but it didn't because it's also fucking shit.

I can't waste the energy to debate why the second and third movies were awful, horrible and wasted my time and why i'll never watch them again. And in fact how they ruined my enjoyment of the first movie forever just by watching their shittiness.

That's the problem with commercial movies today. You can't go in with your expectations high or they'll be fucked in the ass and tossed into the garbage 99% of the time. In order to enjoy a movie, you gotta come in assuming it's gonna be fucking crap. I don't know what's with people and fucking crap, but I don't enjoy it. I mean, it's fucking crap. You're not suppoused to enjoy it. Unless you're Dave and have it for dinner every day.

Won't say it' without its flaws, but I enjoyed it and I'm happy to be a fan. I'm not some fucking idiot either. I'm not arguing, just saying I like em.

All these people, not necessarily you guys "I hate the Matrix movies, I hate the Hulk, I hate Daredevil. I hate the new Star Wars movies" Man I'm glad I'm not raped as much as some people when I go to the movies.

I don't get pissed when I know I'm gonna see a crap movie, even if I hate it, because I know what I'm getting myself into. Most of the time I sneak into those kinda movies or watch them in cable anyway so I'm not wasting any money. But when something that's suppoused to be good comes out, like Episode I or Matrix 2 and 3, and it turns out to be crap I do get pissed because a fucktastic oportunity has been wasted in favor of mediocrity. I'm not a special effects fan, so if the FXs are good or bad I usually don't care either way, but a crappy plot pisses me off because it's not that hard to write something acceptable in terms of quality.

Like Dragonball Z in the sense that it's also repetitive, mindless, and very gay?
