Ok I'm a bit lost having missed an entire season, but where's Pete? He's still shown in the opening credits.

Also who was the guy that killed Alicia? Which, btw, I knew it wasn't hear by the way the killer left, it looked more like sand than green sparklies. Was he supposed to be like Metamorpho, or was I the only one that thought that? My initial thought was Sand, but then when he turned his arm into lead and hit Clark, I then thought Metamorpho.

Pete's been gone from the credits since the first episode of the current season ("Crusade").

As to the sandfreak, I think he just hardened the particles in his arm to hit Clark really hard. It seems that his power is to control his density or something... anyway, I think that also helped him when Clark was choking him because the sandfreak should've died from decapitation a few seconds after Clark started choking him, judging by how angry Clark was at him.

Hmm, it appears Margot Kidder won't be returning to the show. Bummer, I hope the writers don't scrap that entire storyline.

Isn't that two completely different things? Just because someone knows for a fact that aliens exist, doesn't mean they believe in magic.

Agreed. Aliens and meteor freaks may be a hard concept to grasp but its still scientifically explainable.

are you joking?
  • their son can fly and shoot laser beams from his eyes.
  • every week, one of clark's classes is disrupted by a murderous superpowered student.
  • they do battle for ownership of their son with a spectre's booming voice.
  • clark solved a 50 year old crime by having memory flashbacks of his ancestors.

hell, their son's (former) best friend was a black kid in kansas!

unbelievable is what the show is all about.

    ...but magic?

    "feh. inconceivable nonsense!"

    yeah, that works.

    tonights episode:

    Krypto
SUPERDOG TO THE RESCUE - While driving, Lois (Erica Durance) accidentally hits a dog and brings it back to the farm to heal. Clark realizes this is no ordinary dog after the pup lifts up a car to retrieve a ball. Clark and Lois learn the dog is a product of an aborted LuthorCorp experiment and is being used to commit crimes, but when Lois is kidnapped by the robbers and Clark is weakened by kryptonite, it is up to the dog to save them. Meanwhile, Lana questions Jason's involvement in his mother's (guest star Jane Seymour) schemes.

dr. swan dies to start this episode.

hopefully, that'll mean a better tribute to chris reeve than "you will be missed" or whatever the last one had.

I liked it. Some nice Chinese sets, some good/creepy magic coming from Lana (way better than the last witch episode, they made it more surreal here) and a cool sword fight between clark and the flying witch with mystical blades.

I just read at Comics Continuum that, despite some speculations, Sam Jones (Pete the boss Ross) will not be returning to Smallville. I expected that...I for one, blame the writers.

So was I. He got to be a good, yet extremely underused, character. The potential for Pete's character was limitless when he found out about Clark, yet nothing was done about it. I think I read somewhere that Sam Jones wanted more money per episode but was denied it. Not sure how that worked.

I didn't think we'd see Lex play that same piano again. I was not here to comment on the "more practice" scene from a few months back, but that was just terrible.

    For next week's episode:

A glimpse of the future Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) is revealed after a kryptonite explosion splits Lex in two and his evil side - Alexander - is released. Alexander immediately imprisons Lex in the mansion and begins his rampage by trying to kill Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Allison Mack) in the lab, jousting with Lionel (John Glover) and convincing him to return to the dark side and finally, threatening to close the Talon unless Lana (Kristin Kreuk) moves in with him.
Jensen Ackles, Annette O'Toole and John Schneider also star. Terrence O'Hara directed the episode written by Steven S. DeKnight.

I thought it was one of the best episodes in recent memory.

Good Lex's acting was a bit weird in my opinion. Seeing Rosenbaum have fun with the character was nice, he should goof around more.

Speaking of Smallville/Superman (kinda sorta), I watched the SVU episode with Margot Kidder. I've seen it about 5 times, it's a good episode, but Kidder looks like shit in it.

    WTF???!!

Did Lana's boyfriend go completely "villian" mode in this Ep. to justify Lana showing up at the prom, complete with available gown and having a romantic moment with Clark?

And WTF was the boyfriend even doing at the Prom to witness this??

Apart from that, it was entertaining in it's own K-villian of the week mode.

I suppose Margot Kidder is back on the crack or the meds again.......

Next weeks Episode though looks TOPS!
