Let's get the obvious travesties out of the way first: Scrubs wasn't nominated for Best Comedy and Shield wasn't nominated for Best Drama. Or at leas, those are obvious to me.

I love Curb Your Enthusiasm, but I hope Arrested Developement wins best comedy so it can continue.

I'm hoping that if Arrested Development loses, it'll be continued for one more trial season based on the nomination.

AD was already renewed.

He deserves it more than Larry David, anyway. The guy doesn't act. I remember last year (or maybe the one before) before announcing the winner, they said "the nominees for best comedic actor are..." and when they showed him he was like "pheh... actor."

Seinfeld couldn't act either. That's why he never won, but he was nominated like crazy...

He's himself on the show. Just like Jerry was himself, and Ray Ramano, Tim Allen, and Kelsey Grammar were essentially themselves on their shows.

I disagree with Kelsey Grammer, but the others I think can't act their way out of a paper bag...

Deadwood and Chapelle's Show should win. Deadwood should have been nominated for more.

I watched one episode of curb Your enthusiasm and yawned the whole time. What a boring show.

Shit. No Shield???? No Chiklis???? What the fuck?

Yet the fucking Sopranos get nominations up their assholes.

The fucking people who write the Sopranos lost all sense of character growth and the writers and actors get Emmy noms? Fuck that noise.

Fucking bullshit, man. I'm not going to watch the fucking emmys. So I wont see any of their fucking adverts they will run. Which is all they really fucking care about anyhow.

Ritter shouldn't be nominated. He was a great guy, but he should get some special achievement award, not this.

Yeah, but "walking sperm bank" invites commentary and/or comebacks. The two I mentioned have suitable shock value - ain't no one providing a witty retort to them in an appropriate amount to time.

True story: I met one of my gal's best friends (who is gay) and we were playing cards. Hearts, I think. Well, my throws weren't helping him and he kept calling me "cocksucker". So, upon dropping the Queen of Clubs his way (not a good card to get), I turned to him and, in a fit of male competitiveness, shouted "Eat that, you sperm-burping gutter whore!!!"

Silence. You could hear a pin drop. My gal was pale, slack-jawed, and horrified.

After about ten long seconds, the guy just laughed. Crisis averted.
