Why don't you just walk two towns over and steal another bicycle?

The mayor of eugene is a cunt.

We had one of our cars broken into the other day. My mom sent an e-mail to the mayor about the bike thefts and the break-ins, and the cunts reply was that she knows its a problem.

My upstairs neighbor got her car broken into as well, there was blood all over the steering wheel and floor. She called the cops, they told her to clean it up and they will call back with 24-48 hours. She told me that she was going to call health and human services about it. I can't believe crap like this goes on.

To top everything off, the city of Eugene is in the middle of building a massive new courthouse. Why do we need a courthouse if we're not going to charge anyone with crimes?

Off the top of my head:

Mortgage foreclosures
Negligence cases
Breach of contract cases
Civil rights cases
Divorces
Child Support cases
Child custody cases
Paternity proceedings
Tort cases
Tax foreclosures
Personal Injury
Insurance litigation
Etc.

We already have a courthouse. Its only open three or four days a week. There is absolutely no reason for a newer and much larger one.

Are they different courts, however?

For example: You could have a federal courthouse, a state courthouse and a city courthouse/city hall since they are all different levels of government.

It's difficult, though not impossible, to house them all in one complex since they are built with different purposes and through different funding streams.

I would just like to take this moment to apologize to my good friend, rex stardust, better known as rex.

In another thread, in response to a point by another poster that rex, being an unemployed loser who lived with his mother, had never owned a car, I pointed out that rex had owned a bicycle and that said bicycle had been stolen by a hippie.

My good friend rex logged on to gently remind me that this was incorrect. Later, Dabney Donovan reminded us all of this poignant thread right here.

Upon re-reading this thread, I see that rex was correct. He didn't own a bike. His mother did. And his mother's bike was, in fact, the one stolen by homeless meth addicted hippies.

Clearly, being an old man, my memory had failed me.

So, without further ado, rex, I'm sorry. I should have known that you wouldn't own a bike. I should have also known that you would, in fact, borrow your mom's.

Again, please accept my apologies for my "foo pa."

Your own profile refers to you hometown as "the People's Republic of Eugene."

Are trying to tell me that its not a liberal community?

My mother took me to the police station after this to ask why it took them so long to even talk to her. The whole time my mother was describing what happened, the woman at the desk was looking at her like she was crazy. She told her to fill out a complaint form.

After we left, we drove around that part of town looking for the bike. During that time we saw three police cars potrolling the area, basically doing nothing.

They must have been the survivors of my college years.

My biggest complaints are the two day wait before she could file a report, the complete stupidity of the person on the phone, and watching the police cars drive around doing nothing.

That was an e-mail asking if I could make you a ward of the state. Or trade you in for a filthy Mexican that would actually do shit around here.

Bad cops, bad cops, Bad cops, bad cops.
Bad cops, bad cops, Bad cops, bad cops.

Springfield cops are on the take,
But what do you expect for the money we make?
Whether in a car or on a horse,
We don't mind using excessive force!

Bad cops, bad cops,
Bad cops, bad cops.
