Mod abuse.

Two out of every three RKMB posters have suffered from abuse at the hands of a moderator at least once.

For instance, bsmas, for no apparent reason, had...numerous...threads deleted and/or moved from the Writer's Block forum. Why? Well, that's unknown. No official reason was given. The poor man spent a good deal of time crafting some very thoughtful "Talk Threads", only to have them vanish.

While on the topic of the Writer's Block Forum, there appears to be an inordinate amount of threads that have been "pinned" to the top of the forum. This is a clear example of moderators giving a select few special privileges. What the select few have to do to earn these privileges, I have no idea.

Most recently, an insightful thread discussing the new lineup of programs that will air on a new network was locked, despite Rob Kamphausen himself unlocking the thread a day earlier. The moderator who committed this crime had the audacity to boast of his decision on a related thread.

If these events disturb you, I encourage you to send Rob Kamphausen a private message, stating that you feel MisterJLA should be a moderator.

iu believe i have a solution. there is a severe need for moderators because there is a chance that there could be an off topic post now and then that would bring on the apocolypse, and there would be alot of buttons that go without use without moderators. but much like the comic the watchmen taught us, who watches the watchmen? what i propose is a group to monitor the mods and make sure there is no abuse of power. to be fair and equitable i suggest this group of "super moderators" if you will be comprised of myself, mrjla, mxy, son of mxy, and brian fellow. we are much to lazy to cause any havoc, and those occasional time some mod gets bored and thinks he needs to abuse his great moderator power we will be there to say, "hey bud, it's gunna be alright".

Super Moderators it is.

While I'm too much of a busy person to commit 100% to a job like, I'm willing to make a scarifice and support and second bsams' super-moderator idea. These are hard times ladies and gentlemen, and hard times call for desperate measures. The times have changed and so should the moderator's attitude towards evil (off-topicness and gayjokivity). I think a more a group with a more pro-active role in our society is what we need right now, what the board needs, a group that's willing to take chances and go where no moderator has gone before to preserve the peace of our community, and the super-moderators would be exactly that.
