Whats the most stoked you been over a game prior to its release? Regardless of its hype or disappointmet. Im sure there were alot of "coming soons" about to come out that completely geeked you out. Whats the most gay youve ever been for a game before it came out?

I'd say I've been pretty gay for the final fantasy games. before 7 came out I would check all the videogame websites for new info.

I also waited in line for four hours and was late for work to get The N64 Zelda game.

Mario Sunshine. I was running back and forth downtown (between four or five different shoppes) waiting for one of them to recieve thier morning delivery on the release date. I did this for about two hours...When I finally found it at Zellers the woman at the desk saw me comming and help the game up, smiling proudly (she'd held one at the counter because she knew I'd be back). I spent the following week cringing at my own geekdom.

Not familiar with the game...but from your description it sounds like you might love Bloodrayne. That game was absolutely brilliant. The thrill of hacking off a Nazi general's arm with a 3 foot knife and watching him run screaming...priceless. That and Baroness Von Bouncy (not here real name, but that's the only thing you remember from the fight...her massive heaving breasts). Oh shit, and the escape from the gas chamber thing...fucking intense!

That would either have been Kotor or Neverwinter Nights.

Perhaps Star Wars: Republic Commando (KICK ASS game)

Never purchased one at midnight or anything like that.
Mebbe like...
the afternoon of the release. And preordering online, as well as checking websites, previews, and reviews religiously. [The Punisher, Half-Life 2, Timesplitters 3, to name a few recent ones]

Tecmo Super Bowl 2.

This was back in the day before Madden (maybe it existed, but it sucked if it did), 2K Sega, and really anything else of note.

Tecmo Super Bowl I RAWKED, since it had every team, and changeable playbooks...regular Tecmo Bowl only had the playoff teams of the year it was published, and very limited playbooks.

Super Bowl I also had killer, addictive gameplay.

SO, I was hyped up after reading an ad for Super Bowl II, which had a trade feature! This was unheard of at the time. You could trade for Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, etc. You could also change your defensive formations; no longer were you stuck with the 3-4.

The problem with Super Bowl II was that it was a weird "Special Edition". For some reason, Tecmo only sold copies to rental stores, not retail stores. It couldn't be bought off the shelves.

When SB II was released, I called practically every rental store in the state. Nobody had it. I was getting pissed, when I finally called the local crappy family owned movie rental store. They had it!

I raced over to the store, and rented it for a week. I really liked the game, but it had to go back! I decided I didn't want to part with it, so I went back and told the owner that I had some people over, and someone stole it!

He charged me 50 bucks, and I still have that fucking game to this day.

RACK me!
