the game actually had amazing success in japan because most japanese households can't support a (larger) dog, due to limited space. so, this game was a step closer to having a real pet, which was mostly impossible.
in the states or europe, of course, its a different scenario, thus the game and its "digi pet" concept are not as ravenously received.

it's getting harder now and i totally realize why i dont have a real dog. i started working on thursday and i didnt remember to take care of her til really late in the night. thats prob. gonna happen a lot. but i still love the dog. we've even placed in a few competitions!!!
