I did actually get my computer reformated but it's not reconnected yet. Right now, I'm on a library computer.

Not agree. Makes Prometheus' departure worthless. Re-estabilish the status quo. All is how it was. The whole story is a dream of Mick. Vanguard is still fighting in the Manhattan subway?

If the entire strata of Vanguard and their adventures was all a dream of the man, Mick Harrison (ala' St. Elsewhere), then, I dig the hell out of it. Pro's "departure" was basically "my" departure from that character. Nothing more or less. Prometheus "departed" at the end of "Heroes & Legends". Anything since has just been me using him as a placeholder instead of creating someone new. So, personally, I thought it was a good finish.

Of course, I wish we could have had a Howie Mandell cameo...

I knew I forgot something.

Basically, Euro, it's what you make of it. Is Mick dreaming reality or is reality dreaming Mick?

Cleaning up some old business. Hope you enjoy.

Let me tell you something, just because something is in a graphic format doesn't mean it needs to be apologized for. And just because a novel is serious, doesn't mean it's serious fiction. The only thing comics should worry about is telling a good story. You do that and people will find it. -Brad Meltzer

he was referring to Pro's Vanguard story, silly Euro.

You have to remember, this story takes place before all of that.

Frankly, I got from Mxy that the whole Vanguard was a dream. That made it a fantastic finale. Else, it was just a good way of ending that story.

Said that, I am all for that any writer would finish any story still unfinished. You, Chewy, Sammitch and anyone who have Vanguard Universe stories left. I will have to come back to the Worldwalkers one, once I figure a clever way to end it.

And frankly, I would PAY to see Chewy and Gooz doing their last Vanguard story (of which I know some bits)...

I am not taking anything literally, Mxy. Just you made me feel a little stupid for not having been able to catch the ending the first time, so I was having a little innocent fun now.

Another thing I find funny is that some post above Grimm said farewell Vanguard Universe, and now he was writing two Vanguard Universes stories...

...something I am all for. Sincerely, I would have much more fun at wrting Vanguard again than the Tabula Rasa story...

You probably didn't catch the ending because it's a reference to the final episode of an american TV show. I only know it myself because it was referenced in a sitcom.

Anyway, the fact is right now we're not making more Vanguard stories, so if anyone wants to think it was all a dream they might as well do that. It makes no difference. However, if we ever decide to go back and do more stories we can simply ignore that part (and the whole "Mick's house" sequence) and dismiss it as a joke.

I think that is what was the problem with the HR universe. I think there was too much attention and influence put on the old MBL and TOMB writings. The old guard kept hearkening back to the old stories and kept rehashing old characters, settings, and plots. That got very troubling when half (at one point even more than half) of the writers in the group weren't a part of those things. And damn near everyone got caught up in the same things over and over again. There was little attempt at trying something new and different. Which is why I started Tabula Rasa, as it seems that most had tired of that.

I say that experimenting is good for you. Try something new. If it doesn't work, toss it aside and attempt something else. We were getting stale with Vanguard and the whole HR universe. I believe the history of the stories made it harder to branch out and try new things within the same universe that what we'd already done had taken place. I also think that connecting a new universe with the old in any way like Pro and Mxy were beginning to do would have just lead to the same problems.

If you're not digging the new stuff, go back and write Vanguard or the MBL or TOMB. In the end, those stories weren't Mxy's dreams. They were all of our dreams. If you're still dreaming of that universe, then continue on in it. My dreams are somewhere else right now.

I like to write Tabula rasa, and wish I would have much more time to write more.

I found Vanguard more fun, but that was most because we wrote every night, and the characters shaped up very quickly. If we would be able (and I am the first to say I am not) to write as fast as we were by then, I would forgot about Vanguard in a day or two.

As for Vanguard, if I will be ever able to find time again to write extensively, I think I will try to pay it an homage with a rework of the Avant-Guarde idea... what interest me most would be to create a universe were the powers are very low level (funny for me that currently write a Spectre rip-off). I have this scene in mind were Tobias Christopher must outrun a taking off jet, and I think it is much more a powerful scene than any Flash circling the planet in seconds. Ah, dreams...

No, I was referring to the story where Vanguard goes back to Mandelovia to face the Left Hand.

Old Haunts is a Grimm story with lots of guest stars.

like it says in the post "just taking care of unfinished business." I really wanted to see the MBL story finished, because I had Ludlow's end in mind for some time and I felt like it should be out there. Though I admit the posts aren't my best (I'm working fifty plus hours a week right now. I'm pretty much always tired).

There was also some stuff in Old Haunts I really wanted to get to, so I'm trying to finish that one, too. But that's about it for me with this medium. The bulk of my writing is going to be going towards trying to get real life projects finished and sold.

So yeah, a little premature but no less sincere.
