I remember that. It was before, during, and after Clark told her not to draw too much attention to herself. Very smart. He should have learned something about disguise from when Ma and Pa helped him with his Superman costume. "Pa, they all wanted a piece of me.

If I wanted to read a slut comic, I'd borrow Heavy Metal from a friend that also wastes their money like that. But then, that's just me.

My brother reads it. I don't think I've ever seen a crappier book. Consistently bad from cover to cover. And I say that having read the New Universe titles back in the day.

Let us count Supergirls, just to remind everyone how absurd the situation is:

1. First Silver Age Supergirl (died on first appareance)
2. Silver Age Supergirl
3. Power Girl
4. Matrix/Byrne Supergirl
5. Kara from Superman/Aliens
6. Linda Danvers (post Matrix) from PAD's run.
7. Yet another Silver Age Supergirl from the end of PAD's run.
8. Loeb's Supergirl from the future
9. The current Supergirl
10. Possibly the one from the current Legion comic. It hasn't been revealed if she's the one from the present or someone else.

The Supergirl from the future wasn't Loeb's. He's not to blame for that one (Cir-El?).

Strictly speaking, arent 4 & 6 one and the same?
From my recollection, Linda Danvers was Matrix with some kinda mind merge or something!

What about the animated Supergirl with the white t-shirt?
Or did she become one of those on this list?

And let us not forget the "classic" Superwoman who appeared in DC Presents back in the 80s!

Animated style Supergirl was Matrix post Linda merger and post Lex4Pres. She was the one that quit and told Clark never to look for her again.

Looks like (l. to r., front) 1, 9/10, and 2
(l. to r. back) 4, 5, 6, and 3

I'm assuming they just aren't counting the dark-haired Supergirl (#8), #9 & #10 may be the same person, and the Silver Age Supergirl (#2) is the same as #7?

ABSURD!

2 and the one you count as 5 are the same in different costumes. They possibly meant 1 to be the same, too, since the first Silver Age Supergirl is barely known, and she looked exactly like the second version (I think).

Yes, but then Matrix died and Linda Danvers remained as Supergirl on her own ¿using the animated style costume. So, since both Matrix and Linda were Supergirl independently at one point, I think they should count as two.

I could be wrong, but I think that is not really a picture of different versions of Supergirl as much as its different versions of the Supergirl costume.

Going from Left to right

Front Row:
Silver Age Supergirl with skirt miscolored red (should have been blue)
Current Supergirl costume
80s Supergirl costume (Crisis)

Back Row:
Matrix/Byrne Supergirl costume
Seventies Supergirl costume
Animated Supergirl/Matrix Supergirl costume

Buuuut....since Power Girl is not Supergirl, then, that doesn't really make sense, G. I mean, I know what you're saying. But, if that were the artist's intention, then, why the PG inclusion?

For the same reason she would be there if we assume that its different "incarnations" of Supergirl: Because Power Girl was the "Earth 2 Supergirl." I think that's why the artist drew her off in the distance by herself, in fact, to symbolize that it wasn't one of the "official Supergirl" costumes.

Really, none of the "patterns" of the pic make sense.

If its supposed to be a collection of all different versions of Supergirl, then Cir-el should be there and the Matrix shouldn't be there in her two different costumes.

If its only "Kara" versions of Supergirl then the Matrix version shouldn't be there. And the one from "Aliens" in the "Ripley" suit should be.

The only pattern that seems to make the most sense to me was the one about costumes.

I would agree, except for the inclusion of PG. It doesn't even fit the costume motif thing.

Either way, I thought the pic would be a good reference point to go by for this discussion on the multiple versions...

As I said, Matrix never wore the animated costume, that was Linda Danvers going solo.

Pro makes a good point and it is a good pic for reference purposes.

But by the same token the inclusion of PG doesn't really fit the other pattern either.

Again, I think that's why she's off in the distance, near a statue of Superman (who obviously doesn't fit the pattern either).

Aw hell, let's face it: the artist probably put her in simply so there would be one more set of boobies for fanboys to ogle.

By that definition they should count as 3, not 2.
