Wassup, folks?
Ya know, there are some people here that I consider to be real friends. Some months back, I told one of those people that I consider on-line friendships to be just as valid as real life.
I don't have a lot of friends in real life...I associate with many but, I am close to very, very few.
There are people here that I feel very close to...regardless of whether we chat that often, or if you've ever seen me or if we ever meet each other.

My mother died today. She was 80 years old.
I don't have any friends that I want to tell this to, so I am saying it here. Funny...saying it in a virtual world makes it seem real.
I don't know how to live in a world without my Mama. She was everything to me.
For those of you fortunate enough to still have your mothers....call her. RIGHT NOW. Tell her you love her.
Then hang up. This is the most important thing you will ever say to her. You can't say it enough.
Make sure you say it before you no longer have the chance.
For those whose moms have passed...tell her you love her anyway. I'm not a religious guy but, I truly believe she will hear you...no matter what you believe.
This is not a thread looking for sympathy or sorrow. I don't need any of you to express your sympathies...though I appreciate all that do. Someone can lock this thread and let it sink to the back pages...so that Mr. Burns can't ressurect it with a thoughtful, appropriate hymn.
But I hope some of you read it and send a good thought up for your own families.
I'm drinking right now...heavily...so I'm gonna go away now. Trust me when I tell you that none of you want to read my maudlin drunk posts. I'm nowhere near as funny as Piggo. If you don't believe me ask someone here to forward you some of my drunk PMs.

And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. He never got the spirit of the RKMBs. We're gonna keep an eye on the obits, see if he finally left or if he really did have a heart attack.
