well last year was my favorite (and the favorite of any bay area person) for obvious reasons...

lol. i could argue that that series was this close to going seven (believe it or not) but the truth is we need a big man before we can really go that far...

someone to shore up the middle, rebound, and open up looks for baron and jackson (not unlike tim does for manu n tony) and they would do a lot better

my ultimate dream would be for us to get dwight howard from orlando...(sigh) if only...

if orlando was foolish enough to let him go. nor like gs could afford him. aside from tim, he's the best big man in the league.

well then think..... orlando's lack of ability to keep a good big man, tim's contract will end in 5 years n prolly retire while howard is still in his prime..... extra money.....and san antonio's ability to keep players happy and win championships

nah, not really. that would just be a dissapointment, specially since he will be locked down long term by someone by then. a team with smarts. hell, if lebron was smarter, he'd take a good pay cut just to get him on the cavs

they will win, he will get his finals mvp, and then all 3 will have one, and they can finaly end the dum dynasty or not debate

I lost interest in the NBA when the Spurs started winning championships. They are such a boring ass team. I definitely will pull for the Mavs Lakers and Suns.

after the last few years being a yankee fan i am suprised. i figured you might wanna root for a team that might actually win, or at least not get scared n trade their future for one shot. (cept the stoopid fuckin lakers, damn memphis)

besides.you obviously haven't watched the spurs the last 2 years or so when they could win against detroit in a defensive game, or flat out run with the run n gun teams like gs dallas n phoenix.

I'm not tying to be mean. I just don't find the team appealing. I mean I hate the Red Sox but I can see why people go crazy for Beckett Manny and Big Papi......the Spurs put me to sleep.

i grew up in s.a. lived there for 20 years or so. i'd root for them if they were piss poor. i have. the spurs were (this year has been rough) capable of playing any type of game and winning. last year was an exciting year to watch them play.

before tonight the celtics were 16-0 against the west. before tonight...

they did need another big man, well, better than elson anyway, and if they do waive barry, spurs could always pick him back up.

udoku has been fillin barry's shoes nicely anyway, so even if not, he'll be missed, but not as much as a good big man would be in the playoffs. specially with shaq, gasol, and ming.

Yet the Spurs haven't beaten the Mavs in a playoff series in five years, and their regular season record against them during that span is 7-10. The last five Aprils (i.e the stretch run when the Spurs are usually at their best) they're 0-4 against Big D.

San Antonio's starting lineup's average age is 32. No smack talking here: If the dynasty hasn't ended already, it likely will soon. I say it with great disdain, but assuming a(n eventually) healthy Andrew Bynum, the Lakers are more than capable of dethroning them. A 2-5 of Kobe, Odom, Pau and Bynum is pretty damn good. Plus Derek Fisher is acting like a genuine NBA player again, out of the blue.

One must also take the Celtics at least a little seriously, Eastern Conference or not.
