So does Rex's mom.

And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. He never got the spirit of the RKMBs. We're gonna keep an eye on the obits, see if he finally left or if he really did have a heart attack.

"tower defense" is now customizable for level 2 users

...similarly... levels are now available to fyrebug users.

to advance in levels, you have to go get some medals (...also available!)

so, from the beginning...

going through the site and making and playing games earns you medals. for example, getting the high score in a game gets you a gold medal for that game. creating 50 items for various games gets you a larger medal. simply playing X amount of games gets you medals, as well.

every medal that you earn has a point value, and all of your medals total up to one large point value. that point value determines your level. 5 points is level 1 (you get 5 points just for registering ...aww...). 100 points is level 2, and so on.

advancing in levels not only gives you the authority, status, and elitistry to spit on the levels beneath you, but also allows you to do more on the site.

for example, right now, "tower" games are only available to be made by users who are level 2 or higher (anyone can play a tower game).

this helps give some incentive to long-time users, but also keeps the more dangerous and complex stuff (like tower) away from innocent lil newbies.

Clearly being the featured user doesn't get you points.

Step into the shoes of the celebrated World War One poet, Wilfred Owen, as he battles in vain to make sense of the horrors of trench warfare. Note: Until 1925, Officers in the British armed forces were allocated a strict ration of three lives - six less than the standard nine enjoyed by today's servicemen and women.

I was not logged in. And I don't think I'll ever be able to do that well in a "shell" game again.

well, as the PC company answer would dictate, "fantastic!"

and, truthfully, it really is. everything has been great so far, we've gotten some good traffic, good press, our tech has developed quite a bit, etc. just relaunched a whole new front and back end, like website plastic surgery.

its also been really challenging and lots, and lots, and lots of long hours. its still 8 days a week, 25 hours a day. which, mathematically... i mean, lookatit, those numbers are impossible!

because we're basically inventing the wheel in our field (prior to the proverbial re-invention) everything is a learning process. we have to test out new engines, new templates, new possibilities, new features, and new designs all the time. its a 30 person job being done by far, far, far less than that. its extremely fun, on top of being extremely rewarding, because of all of that challenge, but its definitely ...well... a challenge.

promotion and spreading the content is one thing we want to start ramping up in the next, oh, few weeks/months. so any time you feel like making a game and posting it on some popular sites then emailing it to like 45,000 of your friends, please feel free! the more any one of you guys can spread stuff around, the better.

tell you what, you can have 98% of the revenue we've accumulated so far! you can keep it all, or split it amongst the crew, whatever you'd like -- you're in charge!

in all seriousness, there's not much i can even offer in my current broken-bank state. but i was thinking of maybe offering something rkmbsish related, however lame-ish-ly "second prize" that might seem. somethin like for every X amount of plays a game you make gets, or if you post a buncha games on X sites or whatever (clearly haven't worked out the details yet) ... whatever it is, for every time you reach that specific bench mark, i could reward you with something like an extra avatar image that'd rotate on refresh, like mine does. so if you reach the benchmark once, you'll have two images. if you reach it ten times, you'll have 11 rotating images. something like that.

whatever! its pretty much all i got, so you'll like it!
