I've been getting a series of email invitations from people I either don't know or barely know asking me to join Grouply. After a quick search online, it turns out that Grouply is a free online service that organizes email from groups (Yahoo Groups, Google Groups, MSN, etc.) and lets your friends see what's going on in the groups you're a member of.

Sounds fine... if it was just that.

Here's the problem: in order to join Grouply, you have to give them your passwords to your Yahoo, Google, MSN, etc. accounts.

Not worth it.

Is anyone here familiar with Grouply? I'm tempted to just create a new Yahoo account just to figure out how it works from the inside. But I couldn't be arsed.

There's been other sites like that. They're all scams. I think facebook and myspace also ask for your messenger and e-mail passwords but it isn't mandatory.
