If you could take ownership of revitalizing three different franchise properties, or bringing new ones to the movie/TV screens, what would they be? For example, my choices would be:

Warren Ellis' TRANSMETROPOLITAN (HBO Series)

James Robinson's STARMAN (HBO Series)

Neil Gaiman's SANDMAN (HBO Series)

John Ostrander's Specter.(definitely HBO)

Re-develop a Wonder Woman TV series but use the Perez/Rucka runs as the basis for Diana/Wonder Woman. They were the best takes on the character.

JMS' The Twelve.(HBO I suppose or maybe AMC since Walking Dead works well there and The Twelve only has some minor graphic visuals)

I've always told Grimm that Sandman Mystery Theater would be a good hour long crime drama for network or cable TV.

Ooh! Nice! Who should voice/play him, though? Hmmm...

Yes. This. How is it so hard for them to get another Wonder Woman right? I mean, it's not like they got a LOT of "classic" WW to choose from. So, the ones that are awesome should stand out more, and thus easily get made into a TV series or a movie. I'm still down with Gina Carrano playing her, though.

Never heard of it. But, you're right in the idea of using AMC. Wouldn't want to limit your audience.

And I've always agreed with you on that one, no doubt. What do you think about an actor like Michael Emerson (Ben from LOST) playing Wesley? He'd have to gain a pot belly, I suppose...

Here's mine:

LOST IN SPACE would basically be LOST...except in space. A seemingly random group of people whose ship crash-lands on an artificial planetoid that itself moves through space, traveling from star system to star system. Mysteries would abound as this group of survivors seeks out the truth of the planet.

KOLCHAK THE NIGHT-STALKER would be similar to the original, except with a much faster pace and with an underlying bigger story from season to season. Kolchak himself would still be an old bastard, but not quite as old. Perfect for a character actor. Perfect for skewering shitty modern takes on vampires and werewolves like Twilight. The only real vampires in this series are mindless monsters who prey on human flesh rather than aristocratic types or teen goths full of angst.

SLIDERS would basically follow up on the original series except with a much bigger budget. Given the fact that The Defenders was cancelled, Jerry O'Connell might actually be available, except in a more mature role. Instead of seeking home or battling aliens with sliding technology, the original Sliders have by now become the puppet-masters pulling the strings on several worlds. But a new group of Sliders, learning of the originals' existence, seek to take them down and free the multiverse once again.

Kind of surprised no one has sunk any money into a LOST IN SPACE 21st century tv series, like Lothar mentioned. And I'd bring back Quantum Leap before I'd bring back SLIDERS. Just saying...

Suicide Squad would be awesome on FX. Kind of the anit-Heroes, no pun intended.

Wasn't SciFi going to make a Suicide Squad show a couple years ago?

I don't know. I know they started a show called Alphas. Haven't watched it. Not really interested in it.

Gotham Central.

Sandman Mystery Theatre. funny how I was "told" this and yet already had this idea years before being "told" it.
