RKMBs Forums .::Robegories::. Comic Books Uncanny Avengers(and all it's variants) kicks off Marvel NOW! this week.

Not thrilled about the uniform designs except Rogue's,since pretty much it looks like her original uniform,but the concept of a team of mixed Avengers and X-Men is interesting enough to me to read it. A lot of new books coming from Marvel in the upcoming weeks and months and it all starts with this one.





Scarlet Witch variant is pure eye-candy. Hubba-Hubba!!

I might have to buy this just because of Cassaday, but it'd be nice if the team actually had a uniform design with small changes here and there to make them individual to the character.

The Avengers title has been borrowing X-men characters on and off since the 1960s: Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, the Beast, Wolverine, Storm, were/are all Avengers at one point or another.

The more "interesting" concept would seem to be the idea that the X-men might no longer be a team of "hated and feared mutants," but merely another super-team like the Defenders, the Champions and/or the Avengers themselves. If that's the direction, it would seem they've pretty much either said that mutants are now fully assimilated into the Marvel U and/or that there is no longer anything unique about the team's concept.



That promo art looks really rushed. It took me seeing his initials on it to realize it was Cassaday. Is he doing full art or only layouts?

Cassadays people have never been spectacular, my love of him comes from his amazing backgrounds. Also, who's inking him? The only one that does his work justice is Depuy.

I like Remender's writing so I might try this. I just hate paying 3.99 for a comic.
