Perusing the Bleeding Cool news I came across an article wherein Didio more or less hinted at possibly publishing Detective Comics #900. Now this runs a bit contrary to what they had said at the beginning of the relaunch,but really,given the fact that comic people really love milestone issues,I could see DC putting out a stand-alone 900th issue at a $7.99 cover price and then the next month resume New52 numbering. Probably a jam issue of past and current Batman writer/artists doing a few short stories....throw in a few pin-ups and the obligatory reprint of Detective Comics #27.....with a John Byrne cover baby!!

I liked when Marvel re-introduced the old numbering on their covers, and for about a year had both the old and new numbering, before finally reverting to the old-number system. I'd love to pick up issue 900. And 8 years or so be able to pick up issue 1000 !

The only series I know of to reach past 1,000 issues is FOUR COLOR comics. 1,354 issues!

Tec should get a 900th issue. They should give the same treatment to the all other long running titles. Action comics should be close to one thousand by now.

Yeah,Action #1000 isn't too far off and I tinkthat DC has made some kind of comment that something like that willbe celebrated....just didn't say how.
