As far as Superheroines go, its got to be Jade.

Despite the terrible portrayal of Jennie-Lynn over on Green Lantern during tghe Marz years

The fact that she seems to appear naked in every issue lately, probably will increase her popularity amongst the fanboys.

But ever since I started reading Infinity Inc. from the 80's, I've been a fan of the emerald hued one.
Self assured, a strong experienced superhero, considered to be one of the most powerful metahumans on the planet and Green. Fantastic.

Its when she's written as a weak-willed, unimaganitive Bimbo who can't do anything without her boyfriend, that I weep for the old days.

well not literally, but its sad.

My favorite superheroine is Wonder Woman -- the Wonder Woman of the William Marston/Harry G. Peter period, with its heady mix of mythology, feminism, and B&D. The character's fortunes declined precipitously following Marston's death in 1947, and I don't think she's ever completely recovered, though she still has her moments.

I did, however, have a thing for Susan Storm, way back in the 1960s, though I've never been able to decide whether it was a warm&fuzzy thing (as in, I wish she was my sister) or a warm&kootchy thing (as in, I wish she was my love slave).

1. Zatanna - always very nice and sweet, kinda kooky, very cute and sexy in her top hat, tux, and fishnet stockings. She would be a fun chick to just hang out with and date casually.

2. Jenny Sparks - the toughest, coolest, bitch alive. The life she led and the stories she had to tell... just smashing.

3. Tie between Oracle, Promethea, Big Barda, Fire and Ice.

I always loved this cover from her first appearance in X-MEN 130 (Romita Jr./Austin) . Really cool how they Dazzler-ified the X-MEN logo. The character was off to a really good start, with the Claremont/Byrne/Austin team on the job. I was less impressed with the DAZZLER comic series and Marvel Graphic novel 12. But a cool concept, of a character who is a stage vocalist performer, whose powers give her stage lighting and special effects.

I’m tempted to get the masterwork collecting her early appearances. I remember her early issues she faced off against some of marvel’s heaviest hitters. Later issues were less about superheroing and I think that kept me reading the title up to shy of it being canceled. I passed on the action figure but thought it was pretty cool they did an action figure in her original disco outfit.

That bust-enhancing costume never goes out of style. At age 12, or many decades later.

I actually liked the costume without the boob portal more. Wood’s art on that run was just plain awesome. So glad they eventually collected the whole run.

DEATH

Using thoughts and notes from the recently murdered Moira MacTaggert, the X-Men's resident scientist, Beast, claimed to have found the cure for the Legacy Virus. Unfortunately, it could only be made airborne with the death of its first user. Rather than wait for a safer version and allow others to die as Illyana had, Colossus injected himself with the cure. By using his powers and sacrificing himself, Colossus enabled the release of an airborne cure, effectively eradicating the disease. His body was cremated, and Shadowcat took his ashes back to Russia to be scattered on his native soil.[46] [ UNCANNY X-MEN 390 ]

RETURN

Nearly two years later, it was brought to the attention of the X-Men that a medical company, entitled Benetech, had developed a mutant cure. After gaining a sample of the cure, Dr. Henry (Beast) McCoy discovered a string of DNA hidden deep within the recesses of the formula. After matching the DNA, Beast and the other X-Men set out to investigate the truth behind Benetech.

During their infiltration, they discovered that Ord, an alien from the Breakworld, was responsible for the means with which the company was able to develop the cure. While the team was separated, Kitty descended into a hidden complex beneath the Benetech building and was able to unlock the true secret behind the cure: shortly after Peter's self-sacrificing death, Ord had captured his body and left a duplicate that the X-Men had cremated.[47] [ ASTONISHING X-MEN 4, 2004 ]

After reviving him, Ord had used the Legacy Virus cure in Peter's bloodstream to develop his mutant cure. After unknowingly releasing Peter from his cell, Kitty rejoined him with the X-Men. Together they subdued Ord as he tried to escape Earth. Since reuniting with his friends, Peter has returned to fight with the X-Men, and he and Kitty were able to resume their romantic relationship.[47] [ ASTONISHING X-MEN 4, 2004 ]

The case for Black Cat (as portrayed by Roger Stern and John Romita Jr. in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 226-227 ) :

https://viewcomiconline.com/amazing-spider-man-v1-226/
https://viewcomiconline.com/amazing-spider-man-v1-227/

First appearance in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 194-195, July and August 1979, by Wolfman and Pollard.
https://viewcomiconline.com/amazing-spider-man-v1-194/

And a second story in 204-205 by the same creative team.
https://viewcomiconline.com/amazing-spider-man-v1-204/

Although I think Roger Stern developed the character much better when he took the reigns in 226-227.
