During the Chicago convention a lot of hype was concentrated around the new incarnation of Suicide Squad.
Well...
It actually lives up to it.
Storywise that is.
The art is terrible, but I wont drop the title, Giffen is to good for that.
So I will abide and wait for a new artist.

I bought the first one but, I don't think that this will be on my regular pull list. I don't real;ly care about the characters and Giffen will have to be a lot funnier to make me want to read this book regularly. I didn't really like his JLA stuff...at least the first two trades...I liked his Legion run so I may give him the benefit of the doubt.

Perhaps it was good when it first saw print but, IMO, it didn't hold up well over time. I recognized that it was sposed to be funny but it left me flat.

JLI was very funny, and brought a breath of fresh air to the JLA (which it seems need revitalising yet again). I'm going to pick up Suicide Squad next week when I'm back home, and I have to admit I'm looking forward to it. Basti, will your wife be upset if I send you a pornographic postcard from Australia? Bought the second one. It was a little better than the first. I think I'll try it for at least the first 6 issues. After that, it gets shitcanned.
