DC Comics’ ‘Titans’ Nears Pilot Order at TNT

TNT is strongly considering a pilot order for a project based on DC Comics’ “Teen Titans,” individuals with knowledge of situation told TheWrap.

The proposed one-hour drama follows Dick Grayson aka Nightwing, who leads superhero team, Titans, which includes Starfire, Raven and many others.

From executive producers and writers Akiva Goldsman (“I Am Legend,” “A Beautiful Mind”) and Marc Haimes (“Transformers,” “Collateral”), the pilot would be produced by Warner Horizon Television, a division of Warner Bros. Television.

The super crew first appeared in DC Comics in 1964 as younger versions of fan favorite stars and enjoyed several boosts in popularity over the years.

I hope they do it right.

Akiva Goldsman?

The guy who wrote:
Batman Forever?
Batman and Robin?
The Lost in Space remake?

The guy who produced:
Constantine (the Keannu version)?
Jonah Hex?

You really think there's a snowball's chance in hell that it won't suck?

Lost in Space was good IMHO. They did a more serious version for the film but retained elements of the classic show that worked for me.

I'm in agreement with M E M on this one. I enjoyed it.

Visually it was fantastic, and I enjoyed the family issues explored in it.
I think it was the last gasp of Mimi Rogers' career. Her last prominent role, anyway.

The other movies listed don't bode well for a great Titans movie, though.

Constantine was decent, if a tad cheesy. I enjoyed it for what it was worth.

I thought it started out okay and had a good cast but that it completely fell apart with the whole time travel space-spider mutated Dr Smith/evil hermit adult Will Robinson plot.

A movie about being "Lost in Space" should have been about being lost...in space, not time. (wait for it)

They'll probably make her flat chested and not give her the hooters she has in the comics.
