I really like that one of Obama stepping on the constitution. I don't agree 8bviously but I like it.
8bama faces away from the other presidents and refuses to listen. He is applauded by the villains FDR and Kennedy. Looks like Teddy Roosevelt is in his corner too (a bit curious).
But the really interesting thing is that Obama is the sole black tace. His victim is a white man. The other presidents are all white men.
So this is a story of white disempowerment, of the traditions and nobility of office disrespected and disregarded by an outsider, of the white working class cast into despair by an irresponsible black man in a position of authority.
It is a remarkable picture.

There's a lot of good ones here. This one stood out for me:   Many of these, including the one that Australia-Dave likes of the presidents, have too many elements that are ambiguous and unclear, or (such as the flow-charts of Critical Theory and other Frankfurt School/Marxist theory) don't enlighten, and at best only speak to those intimately familiar with those Marxist/insurrectionist ideologies.

Memes aren't designed to teach or contextualize. They're designed to frame.
In which case, the claim made by the meme is unarguable regardless of whether or not the reader is in a position to verify its contents. This serves to either a) persuade the person looking at the meme that it's the truth OR b) motivate him to research what he's seeing.
This is exactly why the phrase "Crooked Hillary" is so popular right now.
To be fair however, the painting with the presidents doesn't qualify as a meme. I just thought it was splendidly executed subtext.

Just refreshing myself on the definition. In layman's terms, I think of it as a resonant propaganda image. I'd argue that it has to be persuasive, to the point that it becomes resonant for many people. Or at least (in the example of memed kitty pictures) strikes a popular emotional chord.

The idea behind the meme itself must be persuasive to truly be viral, but a memetic need not present an idea to spread.
Consider for a moment, the Crucifix. Possibly the most powerful memetic the world has ever produced--which is no doubt why God chose it as a vehicle for His Truth. It doesn't present or explain any ideas, but all the same, it signifies an entire philosophy and belief system that permeates the globe--at least for the time being.
Memetic warfare has been behind the rise and fall of just about every major civilization and religion, primarily through symbolism. Now, however, it's become more visual and textual--rather than simply visceral--to appropriately synchronize itself with our excessively info-laden society (see also: the Bernie Sanders meme in the OP). I was about to post an article about it in the politics forum before I got sidetracked.
