Loc: A glorious bold new America
I first thought of this in part a few years ago, that even after you pay off your mortgage, you don't truly own your home, the government does. And if you don't pay your annual property taxes, they can take it away from you. So in a sense, you rent your home annually from the government, that you technically own, but not really.
The part about Queen Elizabeth as ruler of the British Commonwealth was also interesting. Although currently being 92, she likely won't own it much longer.
