In the waning days of black-and-white television, and the trends of the early 1960's such as Famous Monsters, hot rod cars, surf music and the Beatles, this was a really fun and perfectly timed show, in which all these popular trends showed up.
Back in 2005, I was in a video store and saw Season 1 on DVD, and just had to snap it up. Sometime in September. It was perfect viewing leading up to Halloween.
