Geez, that takes me back.

I loved those things as a kid.

I saw an end Cap at Target loaded with these. Besides the superheroes they also had "I dream of genie" and the "Boat of "Love" dolls. I remember having all the StarTrek ones but not really liking them. Plus of course Batman and Robin with the batcave. I really liked their smaller size pocket heroes. They were smaller and I think by that time I had a job so I could buy whatever I could find in the series.

I never even saw the pocket heroes until I just looked them up. Granted, by the time they came out I was done with action figures, but I'm not sure they were widely distributed where I lived.

My first Megos were the original Batman and Robin with removable masks, waaaay back in 73.

It was a long time ago but they were the first non doll ones I remember. This may have been after Star Wars changed the toy market. A license mego passed on.

I don't recall ever owning any of these Mego toys. I was a big G.I.Joe/ Hasbro guy, and over many years of buying, trading with other kids,
and some of it hand-me-downs from an uncle who was just 13 years older than me, I got a lot of great stuff. I had the G.I.Joe space capsule (from
my uncle), the underwater sled (that I got for Christmas in 1970), and early/mid 70's stuff like the G.I.Joe headquarters, Jeeps, and
"adventure team vehicle".

Aside from that I collected Hot Wheels and all the Matchbox cars, and that for the most part was all I needed.

Some of the scale models of stuff I built and essentially used as toys also, such as spaceships from the UFO tv series, and later Space 1999, the
spaceship (really cool!) from Land Of The Giants, and various Star Trek spaceships, along with the phaser, communicator and tricorder toys. Plus
Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, maybe others.

With all that stuff, I never ventured into the Mego Toy realm.

I was a little too old to enjoy the Star Wars toys when they came along, that I only saw many years later. But man, particularly the Millenium
Falcon ship, those are some of the coolest toys ever!
