It is Democrats who have further expanded lending to unqualified buyers in the Obama years, Democrats who obstructed all attempts at reigning in easy lending to those who should never have qualified, as "racist", or "hating the poor", or just ridiculously paranoid of danger to Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. Right up until the day those government lenders collapsed!
And yet folks like Barney Frank, Christopher Dodd, Maxene Waters, John Kerry and Barack Cloward&Piven/ACORN Obama went right on expanding policy that has set us up for an even greater financial collapse! All of these were among the largest recipients of campaign donations from Fannie/Freddie. And Franklin Raines and other Fannie executives were appointed to Obama's Vice Presidential selection committee. How much evidence of Democrat corruption and responsibility do you need? I recall on C-SPAN in 2009, liberal journalist Naomi Klein said that based on the evidence, it is "intellectually dishonest" for Democrat leadership and the liberal media to heap all the blame on Republicans, or even primary blame. There's plenty of blame to go around, but if primary blame were to be given for the crisis, it would be on the Democrats.
It was not the Republicans who raised annual deficits from an average 400 billion under W.Bush's presidency, up to an average 1.1 trillion a year under Barack Obama. It is not Republicans who are engaged in reckless spending, that even the CBO and GAO call "unsustainable", not the Republicans who have tripled the money supply fromm 800 billion to at least 3 trillion due to "quantitative easing", printing money to buy our own debt because China and Japan will no longer do so. And you blame Republicans?!?
Liberals who bemoan discrimination, intolerance, restraint of Constitutional freedoms, and promotion of hatred toward various abberant minorities, have absolutely no problem with discriminating against, being intolerant of, restricting Constitutional freedoms of, and directing hate-filled scapegoat rhetoric against conservatives.
EXACTLY what they accuse Republicans/conservatives of doing, is EXACTLY what liberals/Democrats do themselves, to those who oppose their beliefs.
