Logical impossibility. They're one and the same. How can you hate one more than the other when they're indistinguishable?

It absolutely has not. Aside from the fact that his additional RoE policies that have been forced upon the military have been directly correlated to the sharp increase in the death of military personnel, he knew that pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan would create this shitstorm, and yet he did it anyway. He knew a year in advance that ISIS was growing in power as an organization, and yet he let it build up. The responsibility for all of the torture, rape, and genocide that has plagued Iraq and Syria rests with him and him alone.

How exactly are you going to make a credible argument for him having some form of moral authority for ending the war in the name of peace when his vie for said peace has spawned more death and misery than the war ever did during its peak years? The reality is that the war was in its stabilization phase and it was keeping insurgents under control. In the past century, more people have been systematically tortured and snuffed out during peace time the world over than during any prolonged period of war. You're free to hearken back to the cliche of war and peace being binary, but keep in mind that-that's a game you're gonna lose. After all, it's "War and Peace", not "War or Peace".

Trying to use the war as a "foundation for [ISIS]" is as slippery and vacuous as the idea that Gitmo exists as the root of terrorist recruitment--regardless of the fact that it didn't exist as a detention facility prior to 9/11.
