As I cited previously, from National Review, the former Rumanian propaganda minister for the Soviet Union said that after he defected to the U.S., in 2004 he was astonished to see that John Kerry and the Democrat-Left were still repeating the same false Soviet talking points that HE MANUFACTURED decades earlier. He knows it's a lie, because he originally wrote the lie being repeated!
As I've also stated, guys like Frank Marshall Davis, Valerie Jarrett's parents, William Ayers and the Black Panthers were all in the 60's/70's working for Soviet front organizations, or directly funded by the Soviets.
So it's not an absurd argument to cite a connection between American Left rhetoric, and enemies of the U.S. in the muslim world and elsewhere. That shared ideology has flowed in both directions (American Left to abroad, abroad into the American Left) for decades.
