It is kind of like Planetary but less superhero-y. More like Global Frequency I guess. The characters are very good and diverse in skills and personality. This time it is the female leader who gets to be the Ellis curmudgeon.

The most intriguing one is the Cunning Man. This prompted me to go off and read about the Cunning Folk on Wikipedia. I had no idea about this. Sort of folk wizards who died out in the early 1900s. I suppose this is what Alan Moore aspires to.

Some gore in there too: the student whose body gets taken over by the Injection as an interface with humans is pretty grim, and the solution - to set fire to him and the computer which has plugged into him - is confronting.

A good read.

Pimping my site, again.
