John Celardo is another I saw in the late 1970's/early 1980's inking a number of Giffen stories in CLAW and other short anthology pieces in GHOSTS, UNEXPECTED and other DC mystery titles. Inking that, even at this late stage of his career, I found quite good.
I was very surprised to see his name signed on stories in WINGS COMICS for Fiction House in the early 1940's, when I bought scans of the entire series on DVD. In between, he apparently took a long hiatus from comic books to do a number of successful syndicated comic strips in the decades in between.
