Jack Abel, another 1970's artist, who I love best for a few Charleton stories, and inking at Marvel, particularly inking a few isues of McGregor/Russell AMAZING ADVENTURES /Killraven issues.
And less compatibly, inking Joe Staton in the late 1970's on SUPERBOY/LEGION.

His career drawing comics goes back to 1951, like Irv Novick, probably a lot of it uncredited during his first 20 years in the field.

Abel was trashed by Groth and Ellison in a 1980 interview in COMICS JOURNAL 53. Michael Fleischer sued Groth and Ellison for their comments about him in the interview, but I felt Jack Abel, Don Heck and writer Gerry Conway were the ones who were thoroughly trashed as talentless hacks. Sadly, Abel had a stroke around this time which diminished the quality of his work, and as is reported, on the positive side, he fully recovered and went on to do another decade of work through the 1980's.
