I thought this was a great commentary on the larger trend among Hollywood elites, that are driving away their fanbase by ramming their liberal views down the throats of their prospective viewers, alienating half their market. People watch entertainemnt to be entertained, not to be preached to about social justice and identity politics. And basically told if they're white or male (the majority of the fanbase!) they're not welcome.
