It’s messed up because the guy for one is someone Trump was okay with until he showed that he was actually doing his job. It’s messed up because he clearly didn’t resign like Barr lied about. And I sincerely doubt that Trump is being truthful about him not having anything to do with getting rid of Berman. Since he had to be the one to actually fire Berman isn’t it reasonable to call him a liar too? Like I said I understand the partisan want to hold onto power. Maybe it dulls the unethical behavior by Trump and Barr here but it in no way makes it a good or an honorable thing.
