Never heard of her till now, but Bree Olson:

I think many women in porn thrive on it, enjoy both the attention and the money, but others have an experience like Bree Olson's. I think they believe they can enjoy the celebrity for a few years and go back to an anonymous normal private life. Maybe for some, that's possible.

But I've seen the same opinion voiced even by male porn actors, that they basically have a scarlet letter on their face for life after porn, and it prevents them from moving on to a normal life or marriage. Both Randy West and Lee Stone are two male actors I've seen interviewed who have said pretty much the same things, that there is a price paid and doors closed, and aspects of a normal life that are forever barred from them after having done porn. Marriage, children, women who won't date them, jobs closed to them.
I think Randy West is one of those who has thrived the best for decades, both as a porn star and post-porn, having appeared regularly as a panelist on Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect, and doing charity celebrity golf tournaments. But has expressed regret that his work in porn denied him from having a marriage and children.

I think the mainstream media likes to show these stories of the tragedy of porn, but largely ignores that some, both men and women, have enjoyed their experience in porn.

It's kind of the same reason I wouldn't want to be Tom Cruise. Yeah, he's worth about a billion dollars and has a glamorous life, but because of his celebrity, he can't walk down a street without being recognized and mobbed. He needs bodyguards everywhere he goes. His wife and children need bodyguards everywhere they go. To be a billionaire celebrity actor, but how much is your privacy worth?

Not quite the same as porn, but being a celebrity of any kind has some similarities. I think for anyone, a good percentage of the time you'd enjoy the attention and adoration. But at some point you'd like to be able to turn it off for a while, and enjoy having a private life again. But that's no longer an option, once you've gone down that road.
