I'm sure all of the newbies would love to see 'em!

(Jim made statues of all the old Adventure era Legion members, and they look absolutely fucking fantastic--- you'll shit when you see these bad-boys, I guarantee it!)

And even some OLDbies!

...pretty, PRETTY please? [who, me?] (we need Gobby to get us a flirty "batting lashes" smiley, but this is close enough... [wink] )

Well I hope Jim doesn't mind me doing this for him. You can find an article and the pictures of his figurines at this site http://members.shaw.ca/legion_bulletin/crafts/statuettes.htm.

Okay, I just loaded the images to my site. So here is a look at them all for those who haven't seen them. If enough people want, I'll also post the close ups.

They're beautiful, I saw 'em long ago--

Jim could make a MINT selling those bad boys on eBay!

And yep, they certianly bring to mind the COMPOSITE SUPERMAN story of preboot WORLD'S FINEST fame...

I, too, Became ULTRA Impressed when I
saw how Colossally awesome these Super
Statuettes Jim G Had created!!

I saved the pics. They really are
quite amazing. I told Jim this, too.

He should be truly proud of his work!

Sure, I have all the Legion Direct
figures released by DC, but THESE
statuettes are simply BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Wow! I go away for the weekend and all of a sudden I'm a celebrity!

Thanks for all the kudos, guys. I am very proud of my Legion figures. They weren't modelled after the ones in the Composite Superman story--I thought the raised arms were too hokey. I based them on the ones that appeared in Adventure from time to time (Adv. 326 and 350, most notably), with the Legionnaires standing at attention.

I've been debating making the Super Pets, Substitute Heroes, and honorary members, but most of them were pretty lame and I'm afraid they'll detract from my Legion masterpieces. If I do decide to make them, I'll be sure and post photos, but it may have to wait til this winter. It's more of a cold weather project.

No matter, cause those statues are double-cool. If I had 'em, I'd stand in front of them everytime there was a lightning storm because what the heck, you never know, right?

Because I think it might be overkill and detract from the real Legionnaires I've already done.

You could use a Marshmellow Man action figure from Ghostbusters to make it, or the Ninja Turtles blimp.
